A Tribute is an Internet website dedicated to the life and memory of a loved one. It's a celebration that brings together relatives and friends worldwide. Family and friends can add pictures, add Testimonials and view the online Tribute anywhere, anytime. Each Tribute can be personalized with the following features:
  • A Complete Biography (unlimited size)
  • Important dates, such as Birth Dates, Anniversaries and Milestones
  • A unique web address
  • A Photo Album (with up to 500 large full size photos)
  • Custom Background Music and Multimedia (up to 500MB)
  • Custom Colors and Style that canbe changed at any time
  • An Invitation Service to make sharing easier
  • A Guest Book and Testimonials added by friends and family

There are very few requirements for starting a Tribute, these include:

  • Name of the person you are creating the Tribute for (this information can be edited after the Tribute is created)
  • A valid email must be provided for the manager of the Tribute
  • A Credit Card (Visa or Mastercard) is required to create a Tribute

Creating a Tribute is a very easy process that can be completed in less than two minutes. Any information entered while creating the Tribute can be easily edited later. The Tribute will grow over time as people add Testimonials, pictures and sign the guestbook.

Soldier Tributes is currently Free. However, we may start charging a small fee in the future. Soldier Tributes reserves the right to start charging, if required, to preserve the information in the Tributes and ensure this site remains honorable and ad-free. To remain active and useful, Soldier Tributes has many operating and advertising costs that must be covered. If we start charging, a portion of all proceeds will go to charity.

Each Tribute is given a unique Internet web address, such as JohnSmith.SoldierTributes.com. The Tribute can be accessed directly using this address. Guest can also find tributes easily using the search function. Soldier Tributes offers an Invitation Service that anyone can use to invite friends and family to the Tribute. Each invitation includes a direct link to the Tribute.

There are two ways that pictures may be added to the Tribute:

  • Upload pictures directly to the Tribute
    • The pictures you would like to add must be an image file on your computer
    • Methods for adding pictures to your computer
      • Upload them from a digital camera
      • Use a scanner to scan the pictures
      • Most Photo development shops can create a high quality CD of your photographs, then upload the pictures using your computer's CD drive
    • To upload pictures on your computer:
      • Click the 'Pictures' link near the top of the Tribute
      • Click the "Add Picture" image-button
      • Press the 'Browse' button...
      • Browse to the picture you would like to add in the 'Choose File' dialogue box
      • Press the 'Upload Image' button
      • The picture will start uploading to the Tribute, this could take several minutes, please be patient
      • Complete the rest of the Testimonial...
      • The Manager of the Tribute must approve the Picture before it will be added to the Tribute
  • Send us photo prints or rolls of film
    • Photo Prints or Rolls of Film may be mailed to
      • Soldier Tributes
      • Attn: Tribute Photos
      • 4152 Meridian St. #105-290
      • Bellingham, Wa 98226
    • When mailing in Prints Please be sure to include a card with the following information
      • Your Name
      • Your Email Address
      • Your Phone Number
      • The Name of the Tribute that you are adding Pictures to (who's Tribute are you adding pictures to)
      • If you would like your pictures returned, please include a self addressed stamped envelope

To remove a picture from the Tribute you must be the Tribute manager. Simply log-in to the Tribute and click the 'Add/Remove Pictures' link in the Manager toolbar and then press the 'Remove Picture' button below the picture you would like to remove.

Anybody can add a Testimonial to a web page at any time. Testimonials can include pictures. The Manager of the Tribute must approve all Testimonials before they will be included in the Tribute. If you are the Manager of the Tribute, any Testimonials you add while you are logged-in will not have to be approved.

Only the manager of the Tribute can add video clips to the Tribute. If you would like to add video clips to a Tribute and you are not the Tribute manger, please contact the Tribute manager, you may send your clip to the Tributes manager and then they may add it.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to directly edit a Testimonial.

A Testimonial is something that someone else has added and signed, it could be dishonest to allow the manager of the Tribute to edit a Testimonial that looks like it was signed by someone else.

However, there are two options if a Testimonial needs to be edited. The manager can remove any Testimonial and then it can be added again with the corrections made. Or, if there is a simple mistake in the Testimonial, like a spelling error, you may send a detailed message to Support@SoldierTributes.com and we can edit the Testimonial for you.

Only the manager of a Tribute can delete a Testimonial. To delete a Testimonial, first login to the Tribute. From the Manger Tribute page, click the Remove Testimonials link under the Testimonial section. The Remove Testimonials page will allow you to remove Testimonials.

A Tribute will be viewable online immediately after it is created. If you are the manager of a Tribute, your Testimonials will also be viewable immediately after you add them, as long as you add them while you are logged in.

If you are not the manager of a Tribute, your Testimonial and/or Picture will be viewable after the Manager approves it. The manager of the Tribute will be sent an email notification or your Testimonial and/or Picture immediately. Tribute managers must approve all Testimonials and pictures before they are added to the Tribute; this ensures the integrity of the Tribute. Most managers approve Testimonials and pictures very quickly.

Guestbook entries do NOT have to be approved by the Manager, and are viewable immediately, however, the Tribute Manager does have to option to remove guestbook entries.

To change the information in a Tribute you must be the Tribute's manager. First Log-In to the Tribute using your email and password. You will see the 'Manager Tool-Bar'

The 'Manager ToolBar' will let you easily  edit all the features of the Tribute. Visitors to the Tribute will not see the Manager Toolbar, or have access to its features. The Manager Toolbar will let you:

  • Add/remove pictures, sort pictures and edit picture captions
  • Review and approve Testimonials that others have added to the Tribute
  • Edit name, biography and other information in the Tribute
  • View the number of visitors to the Tribute
  • Edit the colors of the Tribute
  • Choose the music for the Tribute
  • Edit the Tributes header image and text
  • Change the Tribute's unique web address
  • Review and remove any guest book entries that are unwanted
  • Cancel the Tribute, if desired

Of course! Your questions and comments are always more than welcome at Support@SoldierTributes.com. For more support options, please Click Here.

You may cancel the Tribute from the Tribute's Manage page or by sending an email to Support@SoldierTributes.com. If you cancel the Tribute, all recurring billing will be canceled. The Tribute will remain online for the remainder of the billing period. After the end of the current billing period, the Tribute will no longer be viewable online. Soldier Tributes will save the information in the Tribute for 6-12 months, in case someone else decides to sponsor the Tribute again.

Tributes may not contain pornography or excessive swearing. Tributes, Testimonials, pictures or picture captions that contain swearing or pornography may be removed or edited without warning.
