How Soldier Tributes Works

   

A Tribute may be started for any Soldier. Family and friends can add pictures, add Testimonials and view the online Tribute anywhere, anytime.

Creating an online Tribute is a fast, easy and fool-proof process that preserves the memories and legacies left behind by a friend or a loved one. In just minutes you will have a personalized website dedicated to that special someone.

Creating a Tribute is an incredibly easy process. It takes just a few minutes, and anything you enter while creating the Tribute can be edited easily later.

  • A Photo Album (with up to 500 large full size photos)

How Soldier Tributes Care Packages work:

  • Soldier Tributes has partnered with Amazon.com to bring care packages to our soldiers.
  • Before visitors to a Tribute can send a soldier Care Packages, the manager of the Tribute must create a Wish List for the soldier.
  • After the Wish List is created, visitors will be able to choose from thousands of items to send to the soldier (not just items on the Wish List).
  • The Wish List is simply required so Amazon knows where to send the care-packages. The soliders APO or FPO address is saved with the Wish List. Amazon ships to APO addresses and will keep your soldier's address private.

Anyone with an Internet Connection Can:

  • Find the Tribute easily with the Search function 
  • Send the Soldier a Care-Package (if a wish list has been set up)
  • View the complete Tribute
  • Add Testimonials to the Tribute
  • Add pictures to the Tribute
  • Sign the guest-book
  • Listen to the Tribute's background music
  • Download full size pictures from the Tribute

To Create a Tribute: 

First :

- Click one of the "Create a Tribute" links

- Enter the Name of person to be honored 

- Enter Your Name, Email Address and create a Password 

- Click the "Continue" button
 

Then :

- View the Tribute!

- When you are logged in you will see the 'Manager Toolbar' below to aid in managing the Tribute. Visitors to the Tribute will not see the Manager Toolbar or have access to its features.

- The 'Manager Toolbar' will let you:  

  • Enter a Biography for the person to be honored
  • Enter Birth Date and Date of Passing (if applicable)
  • Add/remove pictures, sort pictures and edit picture captions 
  • Create a Timeline
  • Set up a Wish List so visitors to the Tribute can send your Soldier care packages
  • Invite people to view and contribute to the Tribute*
  • Review and approve Testimonials that others have added to the Tribute
  • Edit name, biography and other information in the Tribute
  • Edit the colors of the Tribute
  • Choose the music for the Tribute
  • Add video files to the Tribute
  • Edit the Tributes header image and text
  • Change the Tribute's unique web address
  • Remove any guest book entries that are unwanted
  • Cancel the Tribute, if desired

*When friends and family add their own Testimonials, you have the freedom and control to screen Testimonials before they are added to the Tribute. Each new Testimonial is sent to your personal e-mail (and can be viewed online, after you log in) for you to review, and then approve, ensuring the quality and content of your Tribute. Guest Book entries do not have to be approved, but you may remove them if you like.
